Meet The Family


First Generation And Founders Of Sarah Leonard Fine Jewelers:

Lenny, Graduate Gemologist, G.I.A.

One of the earliest Graduate Gemologists in the country! Lenny has been past president and board member of many world-renowned jewelry organizations as well as countless community and philanthropic associations. Lenny is the unofficial "Mayor of Westwood" with the heart of gold.



The "wind beneath Lenny’s wings" who built Sarah Leonard Fine Jewelers into the finest jewelry store on the West Coast. Sunny is considered one of the pioneer business women in Los Angeles, working side-by-side with Lenny for over 65 years. In fact, you can still see them working in the store today. Her name matches her personality!


Second Generation:

Linda, Graduate Gemologist, G.I.A.

The Graduate Gemologist daughter whose warm personality and incredible service have kept her clients coming back for decades. Linda is a sought-after industry-wide motivational speaker known for her commitment and knowledge.



The former attorney who put his expertise into the business! The behind-the-scenes son-in-law that keeps the administrative end of the store running smoothly.


David, Graduate Gemologist, G.I.A., C.G.

The Graduate and Certified Gemologist son with the best sense of humor around. You will never have more fun spending money! Following in his father’s footsteps, David is active in civic and industry organizations.


Gail, Graduate Gemologist, G.I.A.

The modern era wonder who brought us into the 21st century. The daughter-in-law Graduate Gemologist that does it all and keeps Sarah Leonard Fine Jewelers among the elite jewelry stores in the country.  Gail, too, is active in community and industry organizations.


Third Generation:

Dean, Graduate Gemologist, G.I.A., C.G.A.

The grandson who is the best Certified, Graduate Gemologist Appraiser in the West! His expertise and knowledge of diamonds and gems makes him highly referred and sought after by all customers. If you need expert advice regarding engagement rings, gems or jewelry in general, he is your man!

Meet The Staff


Jon Russikoff

Jon joins us as our Information Resource and Technology Specialist. With his partner, he previously has owned their own businesses-baked goods and candy. Jon has taught computer science and technology in the post-secondary education field.



Kathy worked ten years in banking before entering the jewelry industry in 1981. She has been part of the Sarah Leonard Fine Jewlery staff for the past 26 years--first full-time and now working on Saturdays and special events only. During the week, she works for a jewelry manufacturer in downtown Los Angeles. She is a GIA Graduate Gemologist. Besides jewelry, her passion is her six feline fur children which she adores.



Kimiko brings over 20 years of jewelry experience to our store. She is a GIA Diamonds Graduate, our international sales specialist and our bookkeeper extraordianire. Her pleasant outlook and friendly demeanor makes her an integral part of our team-her two grandchildren will attest to that!


Mark, G.G.

Mark has worked over thirty years in the jewelry industry after serving our country in the Navy. Originally from West Virginia, Mark has lived in a variety of home and exotic locales, including 4 years in Greece. As our repair manager, Mark is in charge of all aspects of the jeweler's trade.


Deborah RickmanDeborah Rickman

Deborah has loved gems and jewelry all her life. Deborah started working in the industry in 1985, part time, while attending college. She has never left! She has a great appreciation of the natural beauty of the art and design of jewelry and gems.



Brittany BednashBrittany Bednash

Brittany started evaluating gemstones when she was 3 years old from a quarry near her home. She has amassed quite a collection at an early age and decided to make gems and jewelry her life's work. She attended the best schools in Europe and the USA where she excelled in her chosen profession. Brittany will be one of America's greatest jewelers and gemologists. Her knowledge and love of her craft at such an early age is awe inspiring.
